My roof was really old
It turned out that layers had already been applied three times on top of each other. That made disposing of it quite a job. If I left it on, Nik couldn't give a warranty on the new roof. The new roof looks sleek, also because Nik has improved the slope when installing the insulation. There is no pee on it anymore. I have a maintenance contract where Nik comes by every year to clean and check the roof. Not cheap, but then you can be sure that the roof will remain in good condition and I have the 10 year warranty.

Nik has tackled the job energetically and now we can handle it for a while. Nik is a nice guy who delivers craftsmanship.
I had leakage
and didn't know where it came from. Of course, the roof was already old and not very good anymore. Nik did a smoke test and it turned out not to be the roof after all. The lead strip turned out to be the culprit. Nik explained that you always had to work with meter pieces, because expansion and contraction would quickly damage the jointing again.
I'm glad I didn't start it myself. I had taken the roof off. Of course, that has to happen, but I can postpone that for a few more years.
